  • Banana cake

    There is a wonderful freshness to banana cake.  Middleware Catering bake these in a 2lb loaf tin and then slice them for our cold buffets.

  • Bara brith

    Bara brith is another Welsh favourite. It is a tea cake, not dissimilar to the English malt loaf and similarly offered as a buttered slice.

  • Carrot cake

    We are sure you will love our carrot cake. It is wonderfully moist with a creamy topping that we find finishes the cake by not being too sweet.

  • Cherry, coconut and white chocolate tray bake

    These coconut slices are particularly good added to a cold buffet as not only do they taste wonderful, they are also gluten-free, which satisfies everyone attending the function.

  • Chocolate cake

    For those of you who have tasted it, you might understand why this writer would say, “There’s chocolate cake and then there’s Viv’s chocolate cake.” This cake is soft and moist with an intense chocolate flavour. One of our favourites to add to a cold buffet.

  • Stollen slice

    Our Stollen slice was first served in a couple of buffets over Christmas 2016 and went down exceedingly well. We have baked one for our own family to enjoy over the Christmas season but will probably be offering this in buffets over the coming year.

  • The Middleware fruit cake

    Our fruit cake can form the basis of your celebratory cake for that special occasion or can be ordered with a simple decoration as presented in the photo, which shows our 6 inch Christmas Cake.

  • Victoria sponge slice

    The Victoria sponge slice is filled with the traditional jam and butter cream filling.

  • Welsh cakes

    Welsh cakes are a firm favourite, either as an alternative to biscuits with a coffee/tea service or as part of a cold buffet.
