Party pricing

We are always delighted when invited to cater for special occasions, be they birthday parties, corporate events or indeed, even those occasions tinged with sadness, like funerals.  Whatever the occasion, Middleware Catering will work with you to help ensure everything runs as you would wish.

Party eventSpecial occasions have to be quoted for individually but we have endeavoured to explain and give examples below.  Budgets also vary, we can work either to a budget (total spend or cost per head) or prepare an estimate based on discussions, which can be amended to increase or reduce items to arrive at a final menu and estimate.

Our basic pricing remains the same as our standard price list but unlike a corporate lunch, which is a working event and is allocated an hour of time to serve, celebratory events may consist of two or three courses and may include a second food package in the evening and as a result, span a number of hours.  You may also want a number of different dishes available, which will affect the price we charge.  As our price list advises, for these longer events, we then add additional labour charges, based on the number of people being fed at the event.  This is because we need additional staff for these bigger events, all of whom are paid.  We also pay our staff at a higher rate for weekend events (Friday evening to Sunday evening), which will affect the final cost as the 30+ rate is not available for these weekend events.

What’s included in the package?

We provide the table cloths and napkins for your event, together with all crockery, cutlery, table ware and glasses.  Our prices can include soft drinks to suit your needs.  If you require glasses for wines and beers etc. we are happy to provide these.  You will be asked to cover any breakages (at cost). We can provide additional staff to cover all drinks management.

What’s not includedWedding - June 2014 - 11

You will need to have a venue for your event, which you will need to book, together with the provision of tables and chairs etc.  We are not licenced and therefore you will need to arrange for your own supplies of alcohol, if required or arrange with your venue provider.  We do occasionally host events at Ty Canol Gardens but this is by prior arrangement and well in advance and subject to separate discussions.
