Welsh cakes are a firm favourite, either as an alternative to biscuits with a coffee/tea service or as part of a cold buffet. Our recipe is Viv’s amendment of a recipe originally give to her by an elderly Welsh lady who used to live across the road from us: Glenys Lewis. While she has sadly since died, her recipe lives on in our Welsh cakes.
A normal serving consists of two Welsh cakes. However, as an alternative, we can offer one Welsh cake with half a slice of Bara Brith at the same price as a single serving and to give a Welsh theme to your serving.
